TOWSON, Md. , April 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Last week, DEWALT^® announced the introduction of a new line of cordless compact power tools during its XR Media Event at their world headquarters in Towson, MD. The new DEWALT XR line consists of the DCD790D2 compact drill driver, the DCD795D2 hammerdrill, and DCF886D2 & DCF886M2 impact drivers with 2.0 and 4.0 Ah battery packs, respectively. These new tools feature a brushless motor delivering up to 57% more runtime versus standard brushed motors and high-capacity XR battery packs with 33% more capacity than standard DEWALT 20V MAX* batteries.

DEWALT's existing 3-speed brushless impact driver (DCF895), which successfully launched last year, will join the XR family of tools.

The DCF895 will remain DEWALT's premium impact driver offering with its 3-speed functionality, providing application-specific control for users performing a wide range of fastening applications. The DCF895 will be upgraded to include the new XR 2.0 and 4.0 Ah high-capacity battery packs.

The impact drivers, drill/driver, and hammerdrill come standard with a three-year limited warranty, one-year free service contract and 90-day money-back guarantee. The 2.0 and 4.0 Ah battery packs come with a with a three-year limited warranty, 90-day money-back guarantee and a two- and three-year free service contract, respectively.
