For aspiring tradespeople, graduation from an apprentice or technical training program marks the beginning of a promising career.
As future pros across the country gathered with their families and instructors during graduation season, more than 4,000 apprentices received a special graduation kit from DEWALT. Equipped with tools and gear for more than 18 trades, these kits empower workers to step onto the jobsite confident, prepared, and ready to succeed.
This was DEWALT’s way of saying ‘thank you’ to the men and women that will build the future of our country and empower the next generation of tradespeople.
Kits were distributed across 68 schools in 47 cities and 23 states as a moment of recognition and encouragement at the threshold of their professional career.
Craig Triplett, Executive Director of the Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council Apprentice and Training Program, witnessed the impact firsthand. “The Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council celebrates the graduation of our apprentices every year as they complete our program,” he shared. “This year was especially memorable thanks to the graduation kits generously provided by DEWALT. It’s incredible to see a tool manufacturer such as DEWALT value our graduates as much as we do. Everyone truly appreciated the kits and were excited to open the box to see everything inside. It was like Christmas in October for them!”
But these graduation kits are more than a ‘thank you,’ they are a symbol of DEWALT’s broader commitment to building a stronger tomorrow. Through its Grow The Trades initiative, DEWALT has pledged $60 million by 2030 to support current and aspiring tradespeople with scholarships, grants, and tool donations. DEWALT is working to close the skilled labor gap, empower the workforce, and ensure that every apprentice has the resources needed to succeed.
